I went to the $ general today (2 different ones actually).
The first store: bought 6 suave shampoos ($1 each)-$2/3 (used 2 of these)- $2 in store coupon=0.48!! second store: bought 7 suave shampoos (5 were $1 each, 2 were 0.67 each)-$2 in store coupon-0.50 (used 2 of these)-$1 (used 2 of these)= $1.85 OOP second store would have been better if i had not gotten the 0.67 shampoos but I loved the scent. It would have also been better if I had more of the $2/3 coupons to use. I will get more coupons and go again!! |

Yeah, last year being a newbie, didn't know a whole lot. But with the Crest toothpaste Q's I was able to donate around 50 tubes of paste, toothbrushes, combs, hair clips, etc. for the poor/children. It sure felt good. ALL of these came from Dollar General. |

I don't know what happened b/c I was expecting to pay about $1.32 for my 72 bottles of poo/cond and deo (I guess tax as shown on the register screen) but when the cashier pressed total it went to $0.00!!! I totally didn't think it was going to be that smooth of a transaction since... 1. The cashier didn't look too friendly and she may have been a manager or something. 2. The DG in-store coupon is actually a manufacture Q so I was checking out and waiting for them to start beeping! Thinking no double dipping with 2 MQs on each product. Nope, they didn't! 3. It only did one transaction, only one register was opened, a line was forming behind me, I took both of my kiddos (one was hungry and the other was sleepy) and my MIL. What was I thinking? But I guess the ball was in my court b/c nothing went wrong!
I can't be done shopping, I still have coupons left!!!
![]() It's the little voices, that tell me to go shopping!! ISO: any Formula checks |

did great myself today! I will definetly go back tomarrow(i found 4 more q's for $2!!) I looked for the $1 items, my store is tiny(going to the new one next time!) and finally found some $1 sauve items, got 3 deoderants, 2 big $1.50 conditioners(loved the scent!) used the $2 off 3, and $1 off 2 and then the $2/6 that the store has in front of & on the end cap by the q-tips $2 off instantly(it says manufactures, I grabbed a handful..heheh..I can use it elsewhere also!) it cost $1+tax for that one, and then I got 6 small bottles at $1 ea, used all the right coupons and paid just tax...not bad at all!!!!
also they have kotex for $1 so I got some of those for free(I have about 10 q's for $1 off) |

[QUOTE=RUBY"S MAMA;12093769]FYI
I just called Dollar General. They told me that they DO accept Manufacturers coupons. They don't accept theirs with them. That is not the reply I got when I emailed and asked (copied from the email I received from them): Thank you for your e-mail. Dollar General accepts manufacturer coupons along with the Dollar General issued coupon, unless either of the coupons states otherwise. You are a valued customer here at Dollar General and we appreciate you shopping with us. Kind regards, Crystal Cantrell Customer Correspondence Representative, Customer Relations Here is what I asked: Dollar General Policy Question: I noticed that there were some Dollar General coupons in last week's paper. Can I use one of your coupons in conjunction with a manufacturer's coupon as you can at Target, CVS, and Walgreens? Also, do you accept coupons printed from the internet such as those made available from manufacturer's website, Bricks, Smartsoure, and Red Plum? I have searched for your coupon policy but have not been able to locate it, if I somehow missed it,will you please provide a link. Thank you! (This is a request for information only, I have not a problem with any store.) |
