since you have no location under your username, where do you live that they don't have DGs? There are probably 20 in my area (which includes 2 DG Market).
Oh sorry, Northern California. According to the flyer I received we have 4 in the next town over OMG again, had no idea we even had these. If the deals are good, I would be willing to drive over there. I also have no Walmart or Target or Safeway or Wags in my town so I can hit them all up in the next town over also nod

Oh and these are DG Markets, is there a difference between a regular store and a market store?

Markets are full-ish grocery stores. They may carry name brands that you know of, but they also carry "off brands" that no one has ever heard of.

My only warning for you is many times DG will carry a product, but it's smaller in size than what you get at normal retail stores (ie, if a Q is out, many times the product at DG is too small for the Q to be used), thus you need to know price per ounce to really see if you are getting a deal or not. For example, the David's Sunflower seeds are normally 5.25 oz in the hanging pack. It's a smaller pack (4.X oz at DG).

I buy most of my cards (Birthday, holiday, etc) cards at DG for either 50¢ or $1 a piece.

You may want to check DG dot com here [dollargeneral.com] to check for DG Qs (that you can stack with MQs) or if a $5 off $Y is planned for the weekend (usually prints on your receipt too). Looks like there's one for next Saturday (at the link). You can check out your stores ads online as well.

ETA: IMO, very similar to a Fred's, Roses or more expensive Dollar Tree.

another 5/25 for Sat (11/17)

Anyone know when Halloween candy will go 50% off? There is still a ton at my store but I am not buying at 25% off

If you take Prevacid, DGs generic has 100% free right now so 28 for the price of 14

Dollar General has a good deal on the Libby's Veggies thru Wed. They are on sale for 45¢ a can. Combine with the $1/4 to be 20¢ a can.

They also have a in store promo for Pedigree Dog food, BOGO. Don't know if they will take Qs on the free one or not, but there is a $1/1 Pedigree Dry Food For Dogs, any 3.5 lb or larger - 09-30-12 RP. Small print states $4.25 reg price, so $3.25 for two bags if they only take one Q (none on freebie) or $2.25 for two bags if they take two Qs (yes on the freebie).

ETA: $2.25 for two bags, as each bag rings up $4.25 minus store coupon minus $1 Q. I'm buying for the no kill shelter.

Actually the dollar battery deal is a pre-BF deal which expires Wednesday!

I was not much of a DG shopper before, because I think their pricing is a little dicey relative to the smaller package sizes usually found there. But I have started taking a close look at their ads, and now and again they will have some good or even great deals. And also, now and again, they put certain items on sale, and at the smaller size, you get a better value from Qs.

And of course, the $5 off $25 coupon has been appearing often, and that helps too.

I have been using it at kroger for the spray. 2 different ones meet the requirement. Apple-cinnamon and vanilla something. They are 1.00 each
