Monoprice has the white version of their high-quality metal tipped lightning cables on sale for $3.99 (normally $12.99) - White color Only. Shipping was $1.99 for 2 cables for me (small package). Seem to get good reviews. Decent deal imho.

Super cheap @ $3.99 each with $1.99 shipping. Max 5. Add some fillers to get to $25 and use the coupon code START5 to get $5 off. In comparison, the black cable is priced at $12.99...

From Monoprice.com: This cable is designed specifically for the newer Apple devices, such as the iPhone 5, which use the Lightning connector. These premium cable heads are housed in a sturdy Zinc-Alloy to combine superior quality and durability. The connector head on the Lightning end measures about 5.5mm thick, 11mm wide, and 18mm long. The connector head on the USB end measures about 8mm thick, 16mm wide, and 19mm long.

Great in theory but unfortunately it brought my shipping to almost $10. Would have loved to take advantage of the coupon.

Are they really longer lasting than non "zink-alloy", or its just a hype?

I would buy it if it was free ship but I don't want to pay for shipping and I don't want to spend $25

I wonder how zinc-alloy compares to Anker cables that are supposedly "The World's Fastest, Most Durable Lightning Cable"

I have a few Anker cables and I don't abuse them, but they certainly seem more durable than my original Lightning cables
