I was tempted to buy this but on amazon answers it says it take a full propane tank to run this for 4 hrs. That seems like thst alone would make this pretty expensive. To smoke a piece a meat for 8 hrs. It would cost around $35 alone in propane. Im a noob with this so correct me if im wrong. Im gonna pass probably with that thinking in mind.

Online it says "This item is available to Ship-to-Home only." Maybe this is just because of where I am located? Price for me is 89 + 40 shipping.

Did you set a location? Maybe there are no stores in your area? Nearest store to me is 26 miles but I have the free ship to store on mobile

In for 1. looks to be this model on Amazon (except for the DI at the end of item number), which has decent reviews. At this price, it should be good as an entry level smoker.

Could this be hooked up to natural gas?

You should be able to, it usually requires drilling out the orifice to a larger size. There are tons of tutorials online for bbq's the same should work for a smoker.

I'd almost like to get one, but my Big Easy SRG is enough. Man those things save on propane.

a gas smoker shouldn't use this much propane, but at the same time, this one isn't insulated, so wont be very efficient. I plan to do some basic modifications so this thing would retain smoke and heat better.
