Well, we could, but I don't think you'd believe us, then it'll get into an OS pissing contest, etc. So let's just say if you think it's overpriced and not "worth" it, then just forget about this deal and move on. But if you really want an answer to that question, then do a small amount of searching and you'll get the facts to support the price. Though, at the end of the day, it's only "worth" whatever you are willing to pay for it.

I just saw the same ad. Awesome deal. But I already have the 950 XL, though. Confused. But my wife is the catch.. Two years ago, I converted to Windows Phone. First a "burner", then a couple of inexpensive Win BLU HD / LTE phones. She always had a love/not-so-much-love relationship with the phone because she came from the fruit world. So I put her out of her misery last Christmas and got her the new fruit 6S. Funny thing is, for the last 4 months all she's been doing is complaining that it takes for ever to get things done on the fruit. Sure she gets more top-tier and 2nd-tier apps, but the usability keeps her missing her Windows Phone(s). She's twice asked me to buy her another WP. I'm completely surprised by that. So now, I'm thinking hard about this deal. I've never been an ebay "reseller", but I may end up doing just that and getting her the 950 for free!

The current version of Windows Phone is actually a really great OS with a great UI and interface, and this is excellent hardware.

Unfortunately, there's a real lack of apps. (Though the Microsoft productivity ones work really well). Which is why I reluctantly went back to Android after a couple years with my Lumia 1020.

Also, this is a flagship phone, hence the price tag. The hardware isn't too far off from the S7 Edge, for example.

Could someone tell me how a Windows phone gets to be worth $649? Something other than 'because that's how they priced it'.

I'm so tempted to do this and just sell both of them (I already have the 950XL) You can apparently trade the Lumia 1020 (or others) and get 150 off right now too.

This surprises me. I was kind of a WinPhone fanboy since windows Mobile 6. My experience with Windows 10 on the Lumia 640 and Lumia 950 has been quite bad. I've converted to the "fruit world" and haven't regretted it yet.

The components inside are flagship quality. The look and feel of it is equivalent to the $30 Lumia 640.
