Amazon Prime is not needed for this particular deal, but Amazon is currently running a couple of promotions for Prime:

Add a pair of Pioneer SP-T22A-LR Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers to your setup for only $101.66 at Amazon.com. They're designed by Andrew Jones and retail for $199.99 other places. Lowest I've ever seen is $139.99. Best Buy was happy to price match this for me.

Note: Requires Dolby Atmos enabled receiver to experience the Atmos effects

Excellent deal! Pity there is not a lot of Atmos content

For music applications I would recommend to set the crossover frequency at 80 Hz. In my particular room space, I only need to set the sub's volume to the 9 o'clock position to blend in with the other speakers.

Anyone think this would work with a cathedral ceiling? Goes from 8 feet to about 16.

I think the crossover frequency for Atmos modules is higher than that. At least everytime I configured an Atmos module I was around 120-140. These speakers are a bit more particular than standard bookshelf speakers from what I recall. But maybe an expert can chime in on that.

Also, looks like Frys has the Klipsch on sale for $399... These are fantastic add on modules. I can't speak from experience with these pioneer modules in particular, but Klipsch was much better than Def Tech and Onkyo in my setup.

Looks like Amazon just jammed in all the reviews for the whole line of speakers and not just these. Always find that frustrating.

Andrew Jones Speaker is a VERY well respected creator of fine audio. If you are on a budget and if you are playing with Atmos you probably have a pretty good budget to begin with, then these are probably wonderful and for this price a steal! If money is not an object (lol) there are other avenues.

No-doubt the Klipsch are better... but at nearly 4x the price, I would certainly hope so!

Yea compared to Onkyo... But Def Tech modules are same MSRP. As someone mentioned above though, Jones has a great rep and I wouldn't be surprised if this were also better than the Onkyo at least.

Any thoughts on an inexpensive power amp to drive these? Want to run 7.1.2, but receiver can only power 7, need separate amp to power these.

and, any thoughts on whether they will further drop in price? I'm thinking no (except for some lucky sob at right place/right time)...
