Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by Corwin

  • This is a gray market seller but this is the only way you can get this camera for this price. eBay has a very good return policy so it's well worth considering and seller has also included a 1-year warranty. -johnny_miller
  • This also matches a recent Frontpage deal from earlier this month. -Corwin

It looks similar. I'm just asking for some advice, chillax.

EDIT: SORRY I meant to say "This OR Sony a6000". I know that this isn't the a6000, just wanted to see which is better. Haha stupid autocorrect.

I just used an old crap filter with the glass punched out as a spacer (the lens moves back and forth when focusing so you can't just put a filter right on top as it may not give enough room) - and then put a good UV filter on top of that, with the silver cap from the lens to protect the threads. Works great and is more compact than the factory adapter.

no, its Fuji x100 series camera, unlike a6000 the lens of x100 is not changeable yet provide similar pic quality

Does Sony a6000 sound or look like Fujifilm X100T to you?

This doesn't compete with the A6000 market at all. If you have to ask, this camera is not for you brother.

Thanks, I'm just looking for something similiar to the a6000. Btw, would you recommend the a6000 over a DSLR like the Nikon D3300 (for film-making)?
Thanks

Depends on your budgets and your budget for the lens in the next 2 years.

Look into A6K, XT10, Nikon and Canon entry level kits.

Also Olympus EM5, GX7 GX85 etc

I don't want anything over $700 (with lens included). I am looking for the best video quality in that price range. Obviously, the cheaper the camera, the more I can spend on a mic, tripod, and stabilizer.

And yes, i'd be willing to wait (a little bit) if there is a deal in the near future to get the best price. And this will be my first legit camera. So, any suggestions?

If you want to do video, you don't want a Fuji. Amazing stills, horrid video.
