There will always be some that prefer an older version. All the objective comparisons I have seen so far praise W10 over W8, which was a first attempt for modern touchscreen tablets.

Mostly it's Win 7 users that didn't give 8 or 10 a chance. Change is tough for some people. I personally didn't like 8 at the beginning but one you find out how to Jessica navigate it, it's no different than 7 except with better ram management

People are ridiculous. Windows 10 is fantastic. It is basically Windows 7 with the best parts of Windows 8 added without all the stuff that made Windows 8 stupid.

If you like Windows 7 I don't see how you wouldn't like 10. It's just an improved, fancier 7. (Where 8 was a big departure and weird.)

I've seen a lot of dislike voiced for Win 10, is it possible to go back to Win 8?

Probably not, given that Costco is a bundle of different items.

Just got off the phone with BB. They were willing to PM but SP3 is on clearance now and that is a no deal. Dang it.

Maybe go to Win 7. Going from Win 10 to Win 8 is like saying: I heard that sex can hurt. Is it possible to have prison sex instead?

I went from Win 7 to Win 10 on my desktop and it caused quite a bit of instability and making my computer BSOD. On the other hand, I upgraded from Win 8 to Win 10 on my laptop that has a touch screen and that has worked like a charm and Win 10 is nice for a laptop with a touch screen or tablet. Feels just like Win 7 except it has a tablet mode as well if you choose to use that option.

Windows 10 is great. It had some issues with the initial release, but the only complaint I've consistently heard is that it has a tendency to upgrade from 7 or 8 without asking.

This seems like a killer deal! The wife and I have had our eyes out for these. Just got 2!

Just curious, but did you do a clean install or did you choose the "keep my files" option?

I have the Surface Pro 3 with the keyboard and I love it. I've been using it heavily for the past month after tearing my Achilles' tendon and with limited mobility needing something that's easy to move around and use on my lap when necessary. My sofa has become my makeshift desk and my Surface Pro has made it not just bearable but enjoyable. I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months ago and it runs flawlessly. I'm able to do some lightweight gaming on it as well. For this price I would highly recommend it.

I use an SP3 at work and an SP4 at home. Really great devices. I'd hugely recommend the SP4 Type Cover, which is compatible with the SP3.
