I received the C1 Lite yesterday($39.99). I had it set up in less than 15 minutes. In another 15 minutes I realized what the difference is between this version and the Lite... no night vision! I boxed it back up. To me, the lack of night vision is not worth $20 savings. With this deal it's only $9 more. woohoo!

I just order 2 of these, thanks for posting!

The C1-LITE also doesn't have ethernet. I almost bought two or three when I noticed the missing port.

I have two regular C1s, like the one in this listing, and love them.

yes, still no ethernet port on the Lite. Not a big deal to me at this price. I never used ethernet cables on my older pan to zoom foscams. It would still be nice to have though.
(This post is for the C1 and it does have any Ethernet port. The C1 Lite does not)

I made the mistake of assuming it had night vision.

Is it possible to turn off the IR LED lights when night vision is switched on in the regular C1? In other words, how inconspicuous is it at night using night vision mode?

Does this have no warranty if bought from newegg?
From the description:
When you purchase directly from Foscam.us you are not only purchasing a camera, but also the value-added services of 24 - 48 hour shipping from our Houston based warehouse, complete after-sales technical support as well as our US based replacement warranty and return services. Foscam.us does not provide support or warranties on behalf of any Foscam cameras purchased directly from China and sold on Amazon, Ebay, or other through other resellers.

I've read that you can't put these night vision ip cameras up against a window looking out because the dim leds reflect and mess up the picture at night. Was thinking about just getting the lite version as I have motion sensor lights on my porch anyways.

These make great baby monitors. I've had mine for a little over a year, and it's been great.

Pretty accurate. Better to place a camera out side under the eves or get a waterproof sealed one

Can you mount it sideways on a wall, or upside down? How does it mount?

I have 4 of the Foscam 9821, which work well for me. Are these a low-end version, or are they a newer/better version? I'm looking for 1-2 more cameras and not sure which to purchase.

I'm new to this stuff...can this camera be hooked up to just view real time, and do you need anything else to make it work?
