deal [everbuying.net]

there are some ebay deals around same price for 96led version, this is for 192 led model, that's around $48+ elsewhere

please note, this is shipping from china and because it has battery, it may have to go by sea, so 4-5 weeks delivery is probably

$40 w/ coupon code SDBicycle and take extra $2.20 off for new customers with verified email (from account tab) = $37.80 + free shipping

i figured it's nice, especially for kids and such who maybe riding in the yard or park and this way parents can easier keep track of them.

if you need light up lights that show specific designs to keep track of your kids then:
(A) you fail at parenting
(B) you have too many kids
or
(C) you need glasses.

Or, they paid to advertise this post with SD and you posted it because of that? It's okay to be honest.

Well, seeing how this product has been available for approximately a week, is straight from China using a miscellaneous private label brand name: no, I don't have a better price on this exact model.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some people are excited about getting this product at a discounted price (basically PL cost -- which is good), but this is a part of the marketing scheme of this private label company to get some volume pumping through for their new product. The promo code is Slickdeals specific and is in partnership with them. Being disingenuous about it is sort of pointless.

Sounds like a neat idea, but if you watch the youtube video of it in use, the only time you can see the images is when the bikes are upside down and they are just hand turning the pedals to get the tires up to speed.

While they are riding around, it just looks like misc colored leds taped to your spokes.

Yea, don't worry, in about 6-8 weeks, they'll have 400 5 star reviews on Amazon from buyers that got "free and discounted product" and say they're the best thing ever.

How big is your yard where your kids need to be "lit up" in order to see them ?

I think that SlickDeals has reached the point where paid listings should have some sort of marking / indication that the post has been made in return for an investment.

Iconian: This is obviously not the place for such a debate, but if you wish to keep the trust of your community I'd really recommend you engage us on this.

where have I mislead you or anyone else about it? is it a promo that we created, yes? but this is my point all along... what does it matter if code is sd branded or not... i am a cynic as anyone else, but in this case, as long as deal and price is good, why me extra cynical.

if they discounting is so much to spread out the word, then why is that a bad thing? i mean, how does a company get the word out... isn't this actually a good thing? what if product can be improved, wouldn't you want to be there to help (if you wanted)?

i dont ride a bike and initially i was turned off at skull picture... what sold me was that you can customize pics, even hand draw it... which makes it very flexible and fun.

i think we'd have to define what is a paid listing as well. I am not sure if I am in position to comment on such anyway but, from my personal definition, there is no strict definition.

look at it this way: what if current customers got same offer in email for $45 and posted it organically (as is, a promo they didnt create or discuss it with merchant). would you have been happier that it was 20% higher but organic (still lowest price).

to me, btw, paid 'listing' is a post that is NOT a deal first of all and then the rest...
