The amount of times this drive goes on sale for $70 is slowly getting close to the amount of times I take showers in a week.

What's a good price point for a portable drive like this?

I got in on that deal. I don't know if it's been on sale for less than twice that since then. Realistically, this is a decent price, but I'd consider $60 slick.

$70 is a everyday price. Not slick at all

$70 for 2TB is the standard "deal" price. this one and go every few weeks. now to be a really slick deal you need to do better ($50-60 for 2TB IMHO).

Not a slick deal. Hard drives might be off season but 70 dollars for a all in one soldered drive is a joke. If it was a Seagate that has a separate controller card it would be a ok price at 60.00 and a great "aka slick deal" buy at 40.00 but this drive is made very cheap. look at you tube if you dont believe. If the controller dies in this drive , so does the whole hard drive.
