The orginal price was $2000, today going for $1599, but I did some research and tricks for about half a day, that will bring the price down $1,414

1.you can change the ram from 16gb no brand to 8gb gskill -$50
and then if you feel you need more you can upgrade by going new egg and buy the 16 gb for $69, at the end you will get 24(8 original and +16)gb and keeping it all in the same G.skill ram. just for 19$ more.
2.change your os to self install format drive only, will save you another $ -60 also give you a fresh laptop ready for you to install with 0 bloatware.
3. and the last is the 5% code SPRING0410 to bring it dowb to $1414. No shipping fee, no tax!

You should definitely check youtube videos, you can see that this computer is very easy to take apart to add in more rams, and storage. two sata 3.0 and two ssd m.2 for more room. Its also very easy to clean the fans with this friendly design laptop.

Mobile Intel CM236 Chipset Mainboard another new motherboard to go with the skylake newest intel processor.

I have checked everywhere, and mostly this set up goes around 1800 around minimum. Ebay, amazon, ibuypower all not even close to this price. All the hardware are top of the line for mobile. Unless you are going to go sli 9xxm, these are pretty much the best of the best for mobile technology which is low temp low power to save battery.

Also on a side note, apprently 4k uhd is terrible for laptop especially under 20 inches. The scaling is terrible and isnt worth it. Even if u change resolution down to 1080p, your performance wont be as good as a native 1080p machine, making it slower. 17 inches and best gpu in the mobile market, 1080p screen. Good deal guys. The gpu alone is like$ 780 and a gtx 970m are about $300 plus cheaper on ebay. And then newest intel, other top of the line peripherals, unless u throwing out 2g, its hard to find anything price to performance ratio better than this.

there is gtx980 desktop version in laptops, so this won't be "Best gpu in mobile market".

yes i am aware, but that was not originally design for mobile. It will be underclocked to reduce the heat it can produce inside the laptop and to support the adapter wattage for laptop . Also a 980 model would run you 400$ more minimum, I dont think you get the best price performance ratio. gtx980 would likely come with i7-6700k and z170 mobo, which will make that laptop an indeed walking beast. of course will probably run you a lot more $$. and again more power drawing from battery because it was design originally for the desktop counterpart. most of the time we will probably be plug in to use these gaming laptop, but just in case sometimes you need it for other tasks without plugging in, the mobile version of the gtx and intel will give you a lot more juice to run on those battery, and cooler temperature overall, reduce heat inside the case and worn out of hardware, which is a big concern for laptop for many years. you are certainly right, but I am just saying best in the mobile line of gtx we can get.

These laptop have a soldered on cpu (6820hk) not a desktop 6700k (not possible), same with z170 mobo(desktop not possible for laptop). You listed the spec with cm236 mobo and 6820hk.

Wasn't there just a Cyberpower fangbook slick deal not too long ago? I don't know much about them but it looks like it's gets posted on here quite a bit. It must be something that's worth it.

I'm more of a desktop guy but this deal doesn't seem too bad...

"desktop 6700k (not possible), same with z170 mobo(desktop not possible for laptop)."

I am just saying to you after what you said above, yes i6700k is possible and and yes z170 is possible on laptop. and this one isn't much more $$ i can build similar stuff with the same route i took like i did above for about $320 more. but i dont think its worth it for price performance, u get a useless 15 inch 4k display that wont do anything for your eyes, 980m will probably struggle still at 4k anyways. also a more powerful cpu but wont increase your performance anymore in gaming over a 6820hk. you are essentially buying a 15 inch uhd and a better cpu that wont do much more for your daily computing and gaming. but if u like to give out 320$ go ahead.

so defensive I was just saying it wasn't possible for the laptop you posted. If you think people would "give out 320$", you obviously don't know the target audience for slickdeals.
