This is the good shit (not literally, it's not made from sewage unlike some others).

Pretty good price if you need some soon:

Be sure to have your soil tested before you spend money on fertilizers that may be unnecessary and a waste of money. Also, excess nutrients find their way to waterways and can wreak havoc.

Awesome deal. I've been wanting to get this cause I heard great things about it but couldn't justify the cost but this is a great price. I have a part of the lawn that I can't get to green up so hopefully this helps. In 4 2. Thanks OP!!

Currently use Milorganite and I was able to get in on the $6.99 deal a few weeks ago. Is Ringer that much better than Milorganite? I know both are considered organics and improve soil quality, but I've always wondered why Ringer is so much more expensive.

Unless this is the poop of some organic free ranch cow fed with organic asparagus and organic artichoke hearts and having human massages twice a day, I don't think there is any justification for this price level.

I've had great success using this product on my 1/4 acre property. Do I use it regularly? nope....too expensive.

But every few years my grass is just outta whack....thin here, too thick there, sickly looking. So I pickup 1-2 bags of this and use it.... lawn looks like a pro a few weeks later.

Absolutely. Pick up a 50 lb. bag of 19-19-19 at your local co-op for $15 and be done with it.

If this fertilizer were any more PC, it'd include 2 tickets to a Bernie rally.

LOL bounce

And yeah this stuff, at almost $1/pound is just ridiculously priced. Milorganite works great and can be had for so much cheaper.

Ultimately, what matters to the lawn is the N P K. What constitutes the N P K really doesn't matter once it has been broken down and used by the grass.

Sort of like buying Rembrandt toothpaste when Ultrabrite has the same active ingredient. Big Grin

If you want to get the absolute BEST results out of this stuff, before putting it down use a soil conditioner like Revive [amazon.com]. That stuff is an organic compound which loosens up the top layer of soil and allows both water and fertilizer to penetrate to the roots more easily. It will help the fertilizer work better and also make it so your grass requires less water to keep it healthy.
