Love this stuff and lasts forever. Can't use anything else and haven't for the past 10 years. I swear it takes me 2 years to go through a tube. Or more. This is a good price for no work compared to the best sale pricing at Bath and Body Works (they sell it under the C.O. Bigelow brand - http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/p...&cm_vc=200). I think I was getting them for like $3-4 a tube after a B3G3 + $10 off $30 coupon but buying 6 at a time which has lasted me near 10 years...

Right now with a $10 off $30, it's $5 a tube at BABW.

Everyone seems to have their ranking of their shave creams, so here are mine. The original Eucalyptus makes the best, more lubricating lather and has the most terrific and unique smell. The Sandalwood comes in second in both regards. A bit less dense for lather and though the Sandalwood scent is great, i think its not as good as Taylor or Geo F Trumper scents.

I use the original Proraso, I find it more slick when I apply by hand. It's a good cream.

At first I tried lathering up with this cream in a bowl and was not impressed, it did not seem to measure up to using a hard soap. But then I started just putting a dab on a a brush after soaking in hot water and am now a believer. It's very convenient to do without the bowl and just lather up right on my face. Great stuff.

First off, great price OP! Here's my ranking:

I find all three varieties to lather about equally using the tubes of cream. So I'll rank on scent:

1. BLUE ALL THE WAY (Aloe Vera). It's isn't super "masculine" like the red sandalwood, but the scent is soothing and doesn't overpower all day long.

2. Red (Sandalwood). It's a fantastic scent, maybe even better than blue. Very rugged smelling, but it's also extremely strong. I would smell it all day long on my face. It was just too distracting for me though.

3. Green (original) Eucalyptus and Menthol. It has a nice tingling effect on your skin. The scent is a bit polarizing, but it's been a mainstay of the Proraso brand forever. I don't particularly like it, but people swear by it. It feels more "energizing" than the other two.

4. White (Green Tea and Oatmeal). Never tried this sensitive skin formulation/scent. Anyone have an opinion?

I caved in, multiple posts of these kept getting me more interested in the cream (I use the hard soap right now). I'll have to compare and determine which one I prefer now.

Judging by the comments, this cream seems to be in another league. I can't use the Edge or Schick creams, despite using a Schick Hydro razor, and loving it. The past three years I've been using the Mango-something cream from Trader Joe's and now shaving doesn't hurt as much and my skin feels much better.

If shaving hurts you, you need to look into a DE safety razor or a straight edge razor. The best decision I have made. It's cheaper and better for your skin.

Anyone else concerned by the seller, petsurplus?

Agree. DE or straight razor is the only way.

Also, Inb4 the "shaving your beaver" joke appears.
