In-store availability may vary. $2 is a good price for this mulch and it matches several popular Frontpage deals. -Corwin

I guess you got a hold of the next ad. Any other good deals in the ad?

not sure why there was a thumbs down on this... at $2/bag its a deal, so you add more annually, no big deal, buy 10 bags for $20 (or buy more) and you are good to go for a year for most small homes... it's not meant to last forever but it will make your landscape look good for at least a year.

I prefer pine bark nuggets. The bags are lighter and they last far longer than hardwood mulch. Smells good too. With the right coupon you can get it down to ~$2.31 per bag at Lowe's.

+1 (But just got a load of the hardwood variety at the last $2 sale.)

Dyed hardwood mulch is yard crack. If you don't apply more each year, yard appearance goes down. But if the wife likes the looks more than the more practical pine bark...

Anyone with the ad, do they have Boston Furns (hanging basket plants) on sale? I know they were last week but it is too cold in Michigan to hang this early. was hoping for a repeat.

Check Wal-Mart. Mine had nice Boston Ferns in hanging baskets for $5 this past week.

This is a good deal if you can put in the leg work. I got 20 bags a few weeks ago, but had to dig through an entire pallet to find 20 bags that didn't have white mold/residue on the mulch. Yard looks good, but if I would have let Lowe's load the bags I would have ended up with a bunch of junk

Just a heads up for anyone else who may have bought some prior to this sale, I bought 16 bags of the Premium 2-cu ft Black Hardwood Mulch last week for $3.33/bag. I called customer service at my store and they will credit me the difference, I just have to go in with my receipt.

be careful when you do mulching. I bought these a few weeks back and lay them around the house where the trees and flowers were and last weekend i dig up the soils there were some termites underground. My house were termite free in the last inspection back in last October so i guess lately it has been raining a lot so and the mulch is such a lure for termites to come

p/s: also this brand of mulch is not good, the wood are mixed with molds and random sizes
