Camo color on sale, which was not on sale in the previous FP deals.

Amazon always have camo color as most expensive - currently $100
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

NO Lifetime warranty from Jaybird since this is v1. Recently had my freedoms die with a lifetime sweat warranty - sorry bro don't make them anymore but you can get 50 off another overpriced pair or 75 off x2's (Cheaper on amazon even after the discount).

BBB "F" Rating: http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-...-22271799/

Just thought this should be copied from the other thread

JAYBIRD REFUSING TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTY DUE TO A CONTRACTUAL DISPUTE WITH WALMART

I JUST GOT OFF OF THE PHONE WITH JAYBIRD BECAUSE THE BRAND NEW HEADPHONES WOULDN'T TURN ON OUT OF THE BOX.

THE FIRST REP EXPLAINED TO ME HOW THEY WON'T HONOR THE WARRANTY BECAUSE WALMART SOLD IT FOR TOO CHEAP AND THAT IF BOUGHT ELSEWHERE FOR REGULAR PRICE THEY WOULD HONOR THE WARRANTY.

I ASKED HIM FOR A WRITTEN EMAIL SO I CAN HAVE DOCUMENTATION WHEN I GO TO RETURN THEM AND THEN HE TOLD ME HE'D HAVE TO GET HIS MANAGER.

HIS MANAGER, CHASE, SAID HE WOULD LOSE HIS JOB IF HE WROTE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT LIKE THAT REGARDING THE CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WALMART AND JAYBIRD AND GAVE ME HIS MANAGERS EMAIL TO CONTACT HIM

HERE IS HIS EMAIL THUBBELL@JAYBIRDSPORT.COM

Real Deal on "Lifetime warranty against sweat"

Please note that Jaybird's "Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat" is complete bull marketing crap...
You can call Jaybird and verify for yourself...

Basically, the "Lifetime Warranty" is based on the lifetime of the particular product. Once the product is "discontinued", there's no more warranty. Jaybird may do a onetime courtesy replacement but that's it....

So... for all of us who just bought the Jaybird Bluebuds X, please keep in mind that this is a discontinued product and essentially has no Warranty. If your unit breaks, Jaybird will give you store credit (based on the current value) to Jaybird's online store that can go towards a new Jaybird headset (where you'll be paying full retail). They may upgrade you but that's only once.

this is what I got from the representative
"We stopped producing that so the lifetime warranty wont be available. But if you do purchase that and have some issues we will help you some how with like a trade in credit."

Unfortunately, this is the truth. It's been discussed and proven many times on many Jaybird deals.

Call Jaybird for yourself and see just how decent Jaybird is...
Awesome headphones, I paid $120 when they came out, and they stayed around the $100 mark for a while. I was wondering why these gotten so cheap and apparently the new model is out -- the X2's -- for over twice the price of this deal.

After doing some research they are nearly identical with the same rated battery life, size, design, Bluetooth version and LIFETIME warranty. The X2's do come in more colors though.

I'd say for 65 bucks these are a no brainer if you are looking for bluetooth earbuds (which are AMAZING for the gym by the way). No wires getting stuck inside your shirt or on machines, and no stupid looking giant beats headphones covering your head.

Looks like the X2's are mostly just to have something 'new' out on the market. If they were smaller, or had better battery life than these I'd say sure they could be worth upgrading but that isn't the case.

I thought the x2's had better sound quality due to a better Bluetooth receiver model, so they lost less packets. still a great deal at $65

Just a heads up, since these are discontinued, the warranty is null and void

Lol what? That's not how discontinued items or warranties work. Any decent company that provides a warranty will still honor it whether something is discontinued or not. Jaybird included.

Anyway, thanks for the deal!

As a headphone junkie, got 1 to my collection and used previous free SamsClub GC (from AMEX offers). Too bad I missed X2 deal. However, I believe the difference between this and X2 are just Comply foam tips, right?

I've read before that JB Wil refuse warranty service on these because WM is selling them too cheaply.

That's exactly how limited lifetime warranties work.

Limited Lifetime Warranty = Lifetime of the product defined by Manufacturer = One of the biggest marketing scams

I bought the white one, but with Walmart warranty. I am not expecting Jaybird would do anything for me.

Not recommending these, have a pair I bought about a year ago for about the same price. The issue is those balancers that wrap around the unit lasted about 15 minutes before they came off and got lost. Good set in quality sound for BT but don't buy into the sports wear part. I'd say $50 would be fair for the pair.
