if you are in CA and they charge tax then not good deal. B&H better. I added to cart when check out charge me $25.60 tax. Checking seller show seller was located in GA not sure why I have to pay to for CA resident.. so I'm pass since about same price as B&H

I purchased an i5 6600k. I'm tempted to purchase this just to have an i7 😋

depends. The BH deal comes with a particular motherboard. If you want that motherboard then that deal is better. But that board supposedly has some pretty well-known issues with memory compatibility and wake from sleep.

I decided to jump on this deal because it's a good price for the CPU by itself and I retain the freedom to pick the motherboard that I want. If I end up paying a little more in the end then I think that's a fair tradeoff.

Same. Then sell my 6600k on eBay or Amazon for ~$200 since it's almost brand new.

Seems decent if you really need one. What's MSRP, about $345?

Ahhh I can't justify spending the extra $100. As it is, I'm having difficulty even finding the time to game and really do nothing in terms of productivity. Mainly streaming, excel, and gaming when I have time...

In for one. I don't know why when an i5 would do just fine, but I am.

I'd upgrade, but is it worth the extra for a new mobo, RAM, and CPU over my 4790k or 4770k? lma

Pretty scary, posted on the 6700 thread "if only the 6700k was $30 cheaper" and pow, here is a deal for $30 off... strangeeeee coincidence.
