Is this worth it? Just decided to get a PS4 a few weeks ago, can't tell if this is slick or not.

Not a good deal. I just recently got mine thru Jet.com for $290/with free shipping. $50 Off coupon for new customers, and pay with debit card and waive return shipping. I got the Black Ops 3 bundle.

What coupon code is that? I thought the max discount is $30

Doesn't look like the code is active anymore. It was 20% off up to $50. This was about 4 - 6 weeks ago. Now it seems like they're only doing 15% off for new customers.

It appears to be the matte finish one that is the newer cooler model

If you can hold out for the holidays, it'll be under $300 all day long.

Holidays? As in 7-8 months from now? That's a long time to wait for a $30 discount...

For holiday deal basis: Got mine for $235 and sold Nathan Drake for $35 (good ol craigslist). It was a Newegg deal around black Friday mixed with a visa (i think) promotion.

It really depends on your priority level. I'd like a ps4 but have not urgent need.

This past holiday season Sony dropped the msrp to $299. This resulted in a handful of vendors adding rebates/coupons that dropped the effective price to around $250.

That's what I'm looking for.

Personally, I would wait and see what Sony has in store for the half-step iteration of the PS4.

It could decrease the price of vanilla PS4 significantly or you could opt for the higher end model if the price is right.

Do not buy either Xbox One or PS4 until E3... you could potentially lose money if you're able to hold out.

Also the ps4 neo might come out soon and push the price of the inferior ones down
