I shouldn't be considering this, but I am. The 1080p screen and 64 GB storage give it a leg up on some of the PC tablets I've seen in this price range. The fact that it's new, not refurb, and isn't too hard on the eyes also is appealing. Does anyone know if this model contains the second battery in the keyboard?

Seems to be lacking an HDMI port. I don't see it listed. Might be a dealbreaker to some.

To expand your on-screen workspace, you can also output video to an external display via micro-HDMI.

Think it has a micro HDMI port..

From Amazon: "The Toshiba has quite a few useful ports. The tablet part has a MicroUSB port also used for charging, a combination headphone/microphone jack, a Micro HDMI port and a MicroSD slot."

That ram is the deal breaker for me.

I haven't rocked 2GB in a Windows machine for a while but what kind of impact will it have on casual computing? I would want this to open up Outlook, a couple of Excel sheets, and maybe half-a-dozen Chrome tabs and do a bit of work from home, leaving my big Dell laptop at the office.

Spending more than this is hard to justify, but any less performance than this Toshiba feels like it would be an exercise in frustration.

it's rough man.... had to upgrade an old 2nd gen i5 back to 4 gig after installing a ssd. Dropped to 2 gig ram after I robbbed it of the other 6 gig and it was nearly un useable.
