I found 40w equivalent dimmable LED light bulbs at the Dollar Tree for $1.
Greenlite brand, 6w, 470 lumens, 3000K color temperature (bright white).

This was in Tacoma, WA. They have had LED bulbs before but they weren't available everywhere.

Been looking for these for months...be nice if they'd show up in the southeast.

I managed to pick up 5-6 of the 40 watt LED bulbs last month in NJ at a Dollar Tree store. There was something about the NJ Clean Energy Program on the box. Yet when I went back to Dollar Tree (I have 3 in my vicinity) I was unable to locate any more. Consequently I didn't bother to report it. Like the sighting of UFO's, if you do a search you will find that there is a report of 40-60 watt equivalent LED bulbs at Dollar Tree on SD on an irregular basis for the past year. So this is very YMMV. Incidentally one of the bulbs has already failed. So there might be a reliability issue with these bulbs. Or it is just a matter of luck. Meanwhile just keep looking. One never knows what you can pick up for a dollar. nodnodnod

I picked up a bunch in a PA location back in February, but haven't seen them since. They are all working just fine so far. Someone online actually 'dissected' this bulb and found it to be of surprisingly high quality.

I got several of these yesterday in Phx store. They are the long lasting, good quality dimmable ones. They are just slightly warm enough to be perfect for general household use. I despise the bluish "daylight led's.

Where can I get reasonably priced 1600 lumen warmish LED'S? Too much on Amazon, etc.

I looked at 4 different stores in my area... Nothing... Oh well, still a good deal for those who find them...

6w draw for a 40w equivalent seems a tad high but good deal if you can find

Can you say which store in the Phoenix area you found these? Have not seen them at any in the North Phx. area...

EDIT: Found a bunch of the 40 watt equivalent ones tonight in my area. And I mean a BUNCH... Two different stores had boxes of them. Sadly, I do not NEED any more bulbs at the moment as we are all LED save for some ceiling fans with candelabra bulbs on a dimmer....
