I finally bit. Paid for GCU to get a better price. Only bummer is that I have to wait a few days to get the GCU card (card?) in the mail and can't start using it right away. Unless I am doing something wrong!

Funny, I asked the kids in the car this morning if they knew what Disney Infinity was and they both (6 and 9 year olds) went into great detail about it. Guess that's the power of YouTube. They'll be happy after school today.

When I paid for the GCU online, it applied to my purchase at the moment. You have to buy it at the same time that you're buying the game. Even better was that the card didn't activate immediately, so I waited until I bought something else to activate it. And then my 2-year started when I activated it. The GCU card doesn't expire for about a month or two after they ship it to you. The only annoying thing is that you have to go to the store to activate it.

How's the star wars game?

My kids never really got into 1.0 or 2.0 and I hated the vertical split screen so I never played with them much.

Thanks!

Well, if you think this is expensive, you probably shouldn't get this game, because the figures and expansions just add to the total expense. I don't even think the Disney 2.0 starter pack has been clearanced to $15. Honestly, I think this is a great price, considering you get two figures, the game and expansion. The playset alone (without the main game and base) costs this much when it's on sale.

2.0 starter packs have been $10-$15 for a while now. Here are the links if anyone is interested in the XBox versions through Microsoft Store w/ FS. Walmart has been clearancing them out as well, if anyone is looking for other platforms.

XBox 360 [microsoftstore.com]

XBox One [microsoftstore.com]
