Nice. This one seems to have Windows Home instead of Pro, but is $25 dollars cheaper than the regular woot deal.

Let's see, 4gb RAM, expandable to 8, 120gb ssd hard drive, touch, good (real) keyboard, a semi-decent processor ... heck, why not $1.20 -- since we're already leaving reality behind anyway, lol.

If you disagree, please do show us all where a new, name brand machine with these specs have sold at your $120 price point. I'd be happy to eat my words, so I could jump on that deal.

How does this quad-core celeron compare to say, a Sandy Bridge Core i5-2520M from 2011?

You can always check specs on sites like this.

Technically, the i5-2520M will give you better overall performance, but that's not necessarily the full story. The i5 is 2 cores and this one is quad core, so this one could potentially be better for multi-tasking. You also have to consider that manufacturers make their systems with the chip in mind so there are other advantages to the celeron, like it likely sucks up less battery and runs less hot.

Seems like a useful tool for traveling except for the weight, about 5 pounds.

5lbs is the shipping weight. It's about 3.25lbs w/o the charger. Not featherweight, but tough and portable.

$120? No way you would find that even refurbed or used.

This will never go below $180 before it is gone forever

most would probably prefer 240gb SSD at minimum
a bump in RAM would be good too as someone mentioned before, 8gb max?
things fill up fast as you install apps (office, cloud storage, etc)
