It's limited to 4K at 30Hz only.
No, it can NOT output 4K at 60Hz. you'll need something like club3d ACTIVE adapter to get 4K60p

Do you mean this particular one or the adapters of this kind in general?
I've used these kinds of adapters on numerous laptop-to-monitor connections and they work quite well, for the most part (some fail, but quite a small number). Never tried this brand though.

BTW, this code works for only 1 item

I keep hearing there's no way to connect my iMac and Surface pro to each other, but at this cost I'll give it a shot. Will still need one more cable though

The adapter from Club3D is the only one that I know outputs in 4k 60hz.

Link to Amazon [amazon.com]

Here is an article talking about it.

This is a passive adapter so no 4k60. You need an active adapter such as the one by club3d and a select few other companies and they usually hover around $35.

You should've suggested a straight male to male USB 3.0 cable. That would totally start his Friday off perfectly!

Doesn't DP 1.2 support 4k 60hz?
