If it's not recommended, the (good) price is kind of irrelevant laugh out loud
There are two versions of the Up2, which is needlessly confusing. One is a more recent release and is a significant upgrade, with a much better strap and automatic sleep tracking. OP's link goes to the older version that has gotten a lot of criticism; fortunately, the new version seems to be on sale, too. The easiest way to tell the difference is to look at the strap. The ropey looking strap is the one you want. The solid band is the old version. See the Cnet review for more: http://www.cnet.com/products/jawbone-up2/

Good price; I got one for free when they were $99.99 and wouldn't recommend. even after updating firmware/software I had issues getting it to sync data with the app.

Saw this too this morning and jumped on it as a Mother's Day gift. Might grab one for an early Father's Day gift too. Adding free Geek Squad setup (don't plan on using) gave me free shipping. Removing the free Geek Squad setup added $6 shipping.

I had two UP24's that stopped working after about three months each. Support replaced each of them without hassle. They were out of stock the second time and upgraded me to the UP2 without charge. That device lasted over a year before the band broke last week. Support sent me a new UP2 without hassle. Cross-shipping and a prepaid return label were provided for each of my returns. For as much as I use the device I don't have much of an issue with the durability of the UP2. And support has been top-notch. Also, the iPhone app is one of the best features of the device.

Are these all one size?

They are adjustable and fit a large range of wrists. I think between 5.5 and 7.5 inch wrists.

Found this [cnet.com] article and it looks like the difference is in fact a redesigned/updated version of the strap. HTH
