I just wanted to blow off some steam. I grew up in a world pre-NES, and have been hooked on Nintendo all through my childhood. With the exception of the Wii, I have owned all Nintendo systems. I finally went out an bought a Wii U excited for the games that were coming out. That's before the announcement of the NX, the announcement of the latest Zelda getting delayed, the revelation that the new Starfox can only be played with motion controls, and that 2016 is a throwaway year for releases. I feel like I just dropped a colossal amount of money for a system, games, and controllers that are essentially good for nothing with that NX coming. This was after not learning my lesson by buying a 3DS to find that there was a New 3DS coming that makes mine obsolete.
In short, Nintendo's recent console history mixed with the obnoxiously high values of sub-pay Nintendo games have me prepared to never buy another system again. They need to just go and make games and leave the consoles to others.
