Windows 10

My grandma has a Vista PC. Decent hardware still but the OS sucks and it's overridden with viruses. How can I get win10 cheaply on there?

If you work in a company and know some IT folks, ask them if they can give you an old Win 7 key. Between OS upgrades and new hardware coming with Win 10, there probably are a lot of keys that they are not using anymore that literally would cost them and the company nothing to give away. There is really no need to spend on a Win 10 key for older machines.

Barring that, Ebay will have license keys on sale for Win 7. Many are OEM and are sent with some old hard drive from the manufacturer. Others are full\non-oem keys. You should be able to come by a license key for Win 7 on the cheap.

Get Windows 7 instead and a SSD.

It will be a lot easier to use (for granny)Win 7 vs Win 10
Plus of course free upgrade to 10 if you have Win 7 installed.
