I compared the 32 inch version of Insignia and Vizio. On HD signal Vizio was a hair better than Insignia. On SD signal or whenever up scaling was needed, I found Insignia to be quite a bit better. Ended up keeping Insignia and returned Vizio. Overall they are very well comparable.

And how's the viewing angle ? LG seems to be using IPS and far better than most LEDs. Vizio is a lower by about 10 degrees or so.

My Vizio actually has a setting for improving low quality content. I think it was on LOW by default... I doubt you tried setting it to high (if you had a vizio with the same feature).

Thumbs up went to pick this up but they had the open box 43" version of this tv for $202. I asked and they gave me a better price got it for $159 and the TV had never been used was just opened and put back in the box. Good deal
