Thread Details

Just visited the phone booth in Costco today to check out the Galaxy S7 phones. The guy there said there is a $225 costco cashcard available (as MIR) for almost all the phones there. The flier over there says applicable to iphone (or galaxy s6, cant remember) and showed as already expired, but he said the offer is extended till end of May.

Galaxy S7: $672 => $447 + tax on the original price
Galaxy S7 Edge: $792 => $567 + tax on the originial price

I did not check other phones though, but can be used for iphone 6s and others too.

The cashcard is a mail-in rebate, so the discounts are not immediate. You will have to sign up for the monthly installment plan (no contract), but you can pay it off if you want. For unlocking, you will have to stay for 6 months, though.

I was thinking of getting this deal for Galaxy S7 (or edge) (I am with Cricket now) and stay with Verizon for 6 months to get it unlocked. But a later research suggests that Verizon phones misses a few AT&T & T-Mobile LTE bands. This looks like a good deal for those who wants Verizon. It sucks that Samsung Pay is only available for carrier brands.

I am not sure if existing customers are eligible.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

samsung pay works on cricket. i know im using it with my s6.

tbh. i dont think anyone would want a verizon phone unless they are on verizon. this is mostly considering all the crapware they pre install on it.

If $225 is true, you can make it more sweat deal with Verizon BOGO deal. Details below.

www.yourdigitalrebatecenter.com

Promotion Code: S7-APRILPROMO
Purchase Date: should be purchased by May 11th

Remember, if you're going for BOGO, you need to keep your lines active on Verizon for 6 months, if not you'll end up paying for the free phone. Also, these phones should be new lines and and should be purchased on Verizon DPP only..

Looks like staples offer a better price then. These offers only good for device payment plan right? Are there any penalties for paying off early?

So I can keep my phone out of contact if I do this? I like the $20 Verizon month to month for being on an old plan out of contact

Not everyone wants to add new line to their account too. This is just an FYI, just in case, someone wants to.

Has this deal expired?

If not, is it possible to get the phone and cancel service soon after?

Is this with a new 2 year contract like most verizon deals?
