Wait until the end of the month until people put up reviews on these free titles...then pick out the best-reviewed one. Even then, keep expectations low.
It's not just ethics, bro. It's against the law! The library offers a legal means to read the book for free. Check it out!

Wow, none of those sound particularly good. Anyone suggest something?

I gave up on kindle first books. Almost every one I've gotten was bad. There were some good ones initially but not now.

Although it is not ethically correct, you can find and donwload these books for free on internet. But even if you dont care about correctness, $2 is a good price and doesnt worth the hassle of searching on internet

Of course it is against the law as well. But lets be honest, not everything that is promoted on Slickdeals is legal, including the hacks posted/approved by slickdeals staff on frontpage deals. For example, using .edu email, while not being a student. But a lot of people still use it. Sometimes ethics comes before the law, and pirating books is the exact case when you should think of ethics first.
Anyway, I prefer paper books and to be honest, dont read non-professional literature lately.

using e .edu address without being a student isn't against any law I'm aware of. Theft is.

A free book is a free book. They haven't all been bad in the past. Grave of Hummingbirds wasn't bad. You can also add Audible narration eventually for a few bucks. Worst case you decide after a chapter or so that it's not for you and go to Amazon and delete the book from your account.

Prime members enjoy a FREE pre-release book each month.

Is this free for 1 month or FREE forever? What will happen if I don't have Prime in the future?

I've learned to do this myself but it's hard to remember to even look at the end of the month.
