This seems like a great deal. Price match to Bestbuy, then use the student $50 off.

Am I missing something?

why would you price match to best buy, to use a $50 coupon, to then pay sales tax?

as long as you're not in NJ or CA, you won't have to pay any sales tax

I just got he 1.2 512 fb from Apple refurb store. I love this thing! We have a Dell desktop that can handle any heavy lifting (if any) but this thing is amazing. Highly recommend especially if your an iPhone user as its all integrated with iMessage etc.

Core M has lots of complaints on apple support forums of slowing down and hiccuping. don't expect your Macbook to be usable for more than another 2 yrs max before it feels like you have a Celeron from 2004

I'm in NJ.

PM to BB to $969, then - $50, will be cheaper for me vs Newegg for $969.

Also, apple apparently does $50 discount on Apple Care.

you're right, you'd have to an idiot to spend $1,000 on a laptop with a Core M...doesn't matter how much memory you throw at it. the bottleneck will always be the Core M.

people are on the Apple Community support pages already bitching (1 year later) about simply scrolling on web pages. Staples.com was one of the sites which Macbook owners are bitching about. you would have to be fooling to buy a $1,000 laptop and not even be able to reliably scroll on Staples.com

maybe Apple did it on purpose...after all they would rather you buy your shit at MSRP at the Apple Store
