Pricey Toner.

Slow, with sparse features, and worst of all, really expensive toner. So you get a good price up-front and Dell gets their money back 10-Times every time you buy the Pricey Tone.

This does not meet SlickDeal's Standards.

ah but the refill kit is only like $25 on ebay, and it looks relatively easy to refill.

Ehhhhh, I have one of these and it's FAR exceeded my expectations. As far as print quality is concerned, I've seen $5000 laser printers that didn't print as nicely as this Dell does. In fact, I use mine to print photos on pretty frequently and am amazed how well it stacks up to my much higher end Canon inkjet I have at work.

It's not as quick at printing as others out there, sure, but most consumer-grade color laser printers aren't. As for cost of toner, you can buy a pack of replacements on Amazon for like $25 with marginal quality loss over the OEM toner.

Refilling the toner and changing the toner chips are a breeze. No more having to listen to my printer suck ink going thru a cleaning cycle.

I got this printer last time it was this price. Great value for the money. I was wondering if you actually use photo paper when you print your pictures. I am concern the photo paper would jam. Thanks for answering my question.

Yes, it'll work fine with photo paper as long as it's not too thick. I've never had it jam on photo paper, only not take it. For instance, Canon Pro Luster is too thick and simply won't feed into the printer, but their other papers seem to work just fine.

It prints nice quality. Toner is inexpensive if you purchase generics on eBay or Amazon. I got a 5 pack (CMYKK) for $30. It works as well as the starter toner that came with it.
