Bought this for my AR in February for $5 less, still a great price for a good quality case. Enough room for your rifle and magazines with room to spare.

Thinking about picking up a second one.

I have 2 of these. only flaw I've encountered is the locks are trash. both have locks that will no longer turn to lock.

I decided not to use the locking latches so I wouldn't have to worry about the key. I put a combination luggage lock which suits my needs.

personally i don't think so. the only way i would spring for the pelican is if my job required me to frequently check my rifle with the airlines and this was getting thrown around week after week (example - i worked for Ruger marketing or something and traveled all over the country with Ruger rifles to show-case etc)

if you are only buying this to take to the mountains or to the range, etc...just save the money and get the Plano

Seal on mine doesn't fit correctly. Plano was worthless in replacing the part/unit. I'm constantly having to wedge the oversized gasket back into the channel.

how do you cutout the foam to fit your rifles? I have a case like this that can hold 2 rifles with scopes but the padding is still whole. I just smash the case closed.
