These have stray bristle strands that were not cut and are longer than the rest.

Has anyone used the generic replacement heads like these:
http://www.amazon.com/Sonimart-St...amondclean
Are the generic ones just as good?

I bought a pack Sonimart in December. The bristles seemed to lose their stiffness faster than the brand heads, but other than that I haven't really noticed anything different or had any problems with fallout. I only change heads like every 6 months though.

losing their stiffness I kinda what I was afraid of. Was it really quickly or worth the price difference?

Kinda hard to judge that. I was definitely faster than the branded ones, but it was coming from the expensive as heck Pro Results models and not these SimplyClean HX6015/03 standards. My take is I'm cheap so I just brush longer and try to be more through and replace heads when they get obviously worn down.

I've used sonimart and they're decent heads for the price. At $21 for five heads for name brand though, I'd choose sonicare oem all day. The bristles do lose their stiffeness rather quickly and toothpaste gets into the head extremely easily. I've noticed the inside of my sonimart ones get much dirtier. Lastly, the vibration isn't the same. Sonicare definitely has it down, sonimart vibrates pretty well but is just an eeeek under sonicare. Oh and sonimart has great customer service, they sent me new package after posting an Amazon review my old heads wearing down quickly.

edit: I've only tried the e-series
