Good price. As an owner of this product, I highly recommend against it. Concept is great and it does sound great. However, it doesn't play nice with every smartphone. For example on my s7 edge it puts the phone into vibrate the moment it's plugged in and have to connect a few times in order to not have the output be distorted. Also, cellular interference is horrific.

Works great with my Nexus 6. DAC and AMP are used for everything; Youtube, browser, Google play music, games, etc.

Just FYI - if you are getting the E18 that is in the pictures, it is not the revised model (E18 Rev.B). The newer E18 is linked here: http://fiio.net/en/products/20

I think the main difference is the addition of a PC mode which allows it to be charged/ powered from the USB port on a PC while being used as a DAC/AMP at the same time. The Rev. B model did not solve the interference issue with cell phone radio signals, but I think I only experience it when it is stacked with my phone (Nexus 6) and using low impedance headphones like earbuds/IEM.

Read the reviews. Only 60% of people gave it 5 stars. 10% giving it 1 star is a lot of unhappy people :/

have you looked at reviews for other things? that's how it should look, the things getting overwhelming 5 star reviews are fake reviews. always look for the J curve on reviews!

I'm looking at the pictures and see no difference.

I got the fiio e07k and I rarely use it not because it isn't good but most devices and phones have a decent enough dac equivalent to this one. This one apprently isn't as good of a dac made by ct? the shielding isn't as good from reviews. I wouldn't bother unless you notice static from your devices due to interference

Main difference is the bottom, it went from a 2 position to a 3 position switch. Look at the 8th picture from BH and you will see it only has the DAC and CHG modes of operation. It is lacking new PC IN position on the Rev B that allows you to use it as a DAC and charge it at the same time.

What would be a decent DAC/amp for some 598's? Under 100 preferably.
