Seems pretty decent for a complete HTPC kit [newegg.com].

Free shipping with shop runner.

I've been in the market for a PC On a Stick type of deal, low power always on system. They work but I think this ultimately would be faster. I'm sure their power draw will be more but they're definitely more capable. I'll probably bite at this price. Don't need the SSD, but look at it like paying $38 for a 120gb ssd, and get the memory free I can find a use i'm sure.

yeah. I am on the fence about biting it at this price. Processing power for HTPC system may be an issue for J1900. I would like to go a bit higher. I am currently using my old i7 mac as Plex on os x always on system but I would love a dedicated system. So on hunt for it

It's fine as an htpc but use for plex probably wouldn't work well if you're transcoding

Does anyone know if android will run on this... Or how to get it running. I'd much rather get this than another firetv.

If you can use Kodi for your HTPC, the Fire TV HD is down to $85 and it's the smoothest running device I've found.

Chromeboxes hit these pricepoints pretty often. For kodi or simple browsing that should be a better fit. From whatever i have read Intel Celeron 2955U Processor is better than J1900. I run Kodi on asus chromebox which i got from newegg for 115$. For Kodi you dont need anything more

Celeron J1900 is really weak. I would buy if it was an i3 or better

Using Kodi and an Asrock similar setup with the same processor I watch Blurays and 3D Blurays without so much as a hickup. This is a strong, low power CPU.
