Can anyone comment on this show? I haven't heard of it. Seems popular but is it outdated? I realize this isn't a complete set since there are newer seasons.

Ahhhh, that's why it's not the "universal" collection.

Is there like a preview or a season available on Netflix or Amazon prime that can help me decide?

Netflix has the universe collection

The Universe aired on The History Channel, which isn't something people often associate with space, so it's likely many missed this documentary series. Using CGI and computer graphics, the series showed us the wonders of our Universe, along with giving us experts in cosmology and astrophysics educating us about our solar system, space exploration and alien galaxies.

Thanks. I've been a huge fan of the Cosmos series. I'll watch a few episodes before jumping on this.

this show is more about the facts and information about all things space. it doesn't go into history and commentary on things like global warming like the cosmos does.

I am still looking for a popular science production to rival, or even match, Cosmos! Bought the DVD set when it was first released, and still think that even outdated as it is, it is one of the best boxes in my collection. Too bad Carl Sagan died so young.

Surprised some have not heard of this. Yes, it's missing a couple seasons, but this is a steal at this price. Got it for an Xmas present last year. Great material to watch in bed at night and fall asleep to.
