Hey guys,

I didn't see this posted, so I thought I'd share.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Pretty good deal, but they are announcing new Pascal cards this Friday at the NVIDIA Closed door presser, this means new cards will be out sometimes in June, which will drive the price on these cards drastically down sometimes mid month.

Would this pair well with an Athlon 5350?

I don't see why it wouldn't. Do you not currently have a graphics card?

Nope. I'm wondering if the r7 250 will give a significant boost to the 5350.. I think more powerful GPUs would be CPU bottlenecked

I think it would be a good combo, I'm using one with an Intel i3 3220 and everything runs fine.

Just came across this deal:

On par with similar deal but for a golden edition 980Ti a few days before. But I would still say it is a good price.

Rebate valid until 5/31 but base price itself is probably only a few days.

Next gen cards are around the corner. I'd wait unless I didn't think I'd be lucky to score a 1080.

That being said, I have the 980 (non-ti) and it's quiet, even if the fans are cranked up. It overclocks pretty decent too.

I owned two XFX R9 290X and sold them. I'll never buy XFX again. I'm purchasing a (Sapphire) Fury X this week.

Sorry, I had to downvote. Really not worth waiting a couple of days for the Nvidia press conference on Friday to see if there are any further drops below this price point, as the new cards will start cannibalizing sales of the 9xx series.
