I wish they would stop putting so many of the 1 cup and 2 cup in these sets just to boost the count. What I see in this is an 11 count and 4 count Frown Thanks for posting OP! Great deal for those who are trying to switch over to glass. Sadly I already have a surplus of those small containers and do not want to add to the collection. TU though.

picture doesn't match the description on the 12 piece set.

personally, i find the 1 cup to be useless and the 2 cups to be almost useless. decent deal though if they are sizes you can use. i do miss the old glass though, the newer glass isn't the same.

they switched from borosilicate (spelling?) to soda lime glass. it feels lighter, I'm not sure if there is a strength difference. i wouldn't say cheaper, it sounds different when i place it on the counter too. i know you have to be more careful when it comes to temperature. you can't pour boiling water into a cold dish or go from oven to freezer like you used to. the old glass is the same type used for chemistry sets since it is non-reactive, heat resistant and doesn't shatter from thermal shock.

not sure, but i do know a lot of ours get chips in the glass edge.

1 cup is great for sauces and portioned meals for a one year old. We use the 2 cup ones to pack lunches.

My issues it that the lids keep cracking after use. And with the replacement costs, it's almost cheaper to just buy another set (with sales like these).

i've had the old ones shatter from thermal shock. scared the crap out of my wife. the new material is much more prone to do this though.
