Thread Details

Just got into Rocket League on my Windows PC and having a blast but ready to take it to the next level. The keyboard been adequate but I'd like to buy a reasonably cheap controller for a better gaming experience. Any suggestions in the ~$25 range?

At $25 you are looking at trying to find a wired 360 controller. That is the simplest solution.

The Xbox One controller is much nicer if you are willing to shell out for it, even if you look for a third party one.

If you have a PS4 controller you can make that work over Bluetooth or wired connection but you will have to jump through some hoops to get it to function nicely.

The Logitech F310 is also a decent cheap solution. It has a switch to go from Xinput to Dinput which will handle all game types. Runs a bit over $20 usually.

That's about what I was looking for thank you. I'll swing by MIcrocenter for some hands-on to compare the two XBox & Logitech controllers (& hopefully a cheaper knockoff) Thumbup

Yeah. One of the most durable controllers out there. Been using mine for 4 years.

Basically the same function as the 310. The 310 has options for xinput if you ever need it for some reason. I also dislike the dpad on the 360 controller.

I did just get the Xbone wireless controller for Windows 10 though and it is awesome. outputting sound from the controller on PC is great.

Yeah. I really am not that comfortable using an Xbox controller. Maybe just because I grew up playing on the Playstation.
