the build itself is quite fun and probably the most interesting out of all the wave 2 (even wave 1) sets.

As far a looks, going to be personal preference. I think it's pretty nice looking and true to what you see in the movies.

$50 for a ship that was on screen for about 2 min, nah, minifigs not the most interesting either

Admiral Ackbar isn't interesting to you?! Shameful

Pros:

* $50.99 for 646 pieces comes out to be 7.9 cent per piece. Excellent for a licensed product - Star Wars no less.

* 4 Minifigs in which two are Leia and Ackbar in which all four - at this time of writing - is exclusive to this set.

* It's a vehicle which is solidly built. (See many YouTube LEGO reviews) And it has room for additional minifigs.

Best comment so far, pretty much sums up Lego in three words.

I just got this on amazon the other day for the same price, if you include the tax on this deal. Happily awaiting delivery - but it's coming from FL to AZ, so a couple more days.

But . . . what about the retailers offering $10 in gift cards for spending $50? How helpful was amazon then?

Not all the items always showed as eligible and I only see Target has it for $60. So with tax, minus the card, same price. Plus, my $10 now can be used anywhere.

Is Toys R Us doing the $10 card promo? I didn't see anything in here about it.
