You would rather have to unwind a 100ft extension cord, plug it into the device, drag it everywhere, get caught up in everything, retrace your steps to not circle a tree, wind up a now dirty 100ft cable.....rather than plug in a battery?
I'd have to say the opposite is true for me. I used to have corded everything. Switched to black and Decker battery powered trimmer, blower, drill etc. A few years ago and couldn't be happier. Will never go back to corded, not worth the hassle. To each their own, though.

Tempted to get the blower. Looks like the updated the designs, or maybe this isn't the model that is usually on sale. The wheel looks useful on the trimmer for edging. Would be nice if they had more ace hardware around me.

This...doesn’t seem like a very good deal. Definitely better than paying retail, but there have been much better deals in the past and will likely be again in the future.

despite the portability, I don't like to deal with batteries. cable powered are much better. just that you have to have long electric cables running through the yard while you are trimming the edges.

Nothing says you're bored than going back and forth about corded vs cordless lawn and garden tools. If you're looking for battery powered lawn gear then great. If not then move on.

I have been going down the rabbit hole of research on these for the last 5 days since my gas powered one broke. B&D seems to be one of the most consistently well-rated models for general, light home use (if you're not an Echo/Dewalt/Stihl aficionado). Yeah, it's only 20v, but I am only trimming lawn against the fence.

I had the LTSE525 in my amazon cart, but went with the LTSE523 in the OP. The only difference is the battery. Instead of 2 low capacity (1.5 a/h), this one comes with 1 high capacity (3.0 a/h) battery. That, and price. The amazon one is $99 - 8.50 coupon. This one is a steal at $60+tax.

Thanks OP, you saved me $30. Smilie
