Yes, I know you don't necessarily associate Whole Foods and Slickdeals, but I actually live a few blocks away from one(in the same shopping center as a CVS, lol), and I frequently stop in on the way back from the gym. No, they don't double coupons, and you usually can't get the outrageous deals that you can get at CVS or a conventional supermarket for that matter, but you can frequently get decent deals, not to mention lots of free samplesyummy And their '365' house brand is usually comparably priced to Trader Joe's, and cheaper than a comparable supermarket item. And maybe it's the economy, but I have noticed them getting considerably cheaper on some advertised items as of late.

Sales for Whole Foods stores are regional, although they seem to have some national deals on grocery items(canned and packaged foods). Sales tend to run on 2 and 4 week cycles, and new cycles tend to start on Wednesdays. They also tend to have regional sales, that run on the weekends or may also run on 2 week cycles(the "Madness" sales in the Northeast) that tend to feature regional deals like produce, meat, prepared food, bakery etc.

Your best bet to find out what's on sale at your local store, is to go to your store's website, which is located at www.wholefoodsmarket.com. Enter your zip code up top, and pick your store. In addition to the sales circular, there is often a calendar of store events, a twitter feed or facebook page.
One aspect of Whole Foods is that the stores tend to have a lot more "events" than a conventional supermarket. These can be promotions, contests,
sampling events, cooking classes. If your store calendar isn't posted online, there is always one at the store entrance. And while many of these promos are not worth a separate trip(though I have gotten some nice sample packs at times), if you are going to the store anyway, why not go when they are giving something away?

Whole Foods also distributes a coupon book in store, called "The Whole Deal". These are store coupons and are will NOT scan at other retailers, despite the bar codes. You should be able to combine them with a manufacturer coupon, but YMMV.

sdnewby, it's my understanding that to get the
benefits of flax seed, it needs to be ground, otherwise the whole seeds just pass on through. You can buy whole and grind it (in a coffee grinder) or buy ground, but either way, refrigerate it once it's ground as it will go rancid relatively quickly once ground.
Thanks Smilie i have been reading about it and saw that you get more beneficial nutrients from freshly ground seeds. We have some already ground to finish but I am now looking for whole seed deals and a little coffee grinder. I have to double check whether I should buy regular or dry roasted seeds though.

Something like the Magic Bullet should also work to grind them, and might be more multipurpose for you if you can find a good deal on one. Just a thought. Smilie

I use ours a lot to make yogurt/fruit/berry smoothies and add some flax or chia etc.

haven't really shopped whole foods in a year and a half, since the mercer mall shoprite stopped accepting coupons with QR codes. since it seems they've started taking them again, i've been shopping in that direction the last couple weeks.

anybody know if there is a limit to whole foods q's? there is a 1.00 kettle chips wfq and there is a 1/2 ip at c.c. they are on sale $4/2 so they should be .50/bag.

it used to be more or less unlimited when i used to shop whole foods, but i thought i recalled reading something about a limit now.

The wfq now says 1 per customer or something like that in the fine print but I asked CS at my q friendly store last month and they said no limit and that they could do quantity key for wfq rather then me cut out 1 for each item. MQs are still put in manually and limit on q is followed.

Did you happen to catch the end date? My ad changes Wednesday and I'd really rather go next week.

Also is the wfq in the current booklet or do I need to dive into my bin-o-qs.

Thanks for the HU hug

sale ends 12/1. i will post varieties on ig. 1/1 kettle baked potato chip exp 1/30/16 so should be in current booklet but my store was out of them so not 100% sure. i saw q online.

wfq says limit one q per purchase of specified products per individual.

ip says nor more than 2 q's may be redeemed per purchase.

uh-oh! when i originally printed the wfq's i'd checked a bunch of q's and they printed really tiny. i printed the kettle wfq just by itself and just realized it's for BAKED potato chip. i double-checked the pics i took of all the varieties on sale and none of them are BAKED.

Frown Frown Frown

i will call tomorrow to find out the price of the kettle BAKED potato chips.
