The only USA made ratchet wrenches are Proto and Snap On if you want reversible. If' you're ok not having reversible you can add SK to the list with they're recently released x-frame wrenches.

All the other truck brands are taiwan or china manufactured - Blue Point included.

I have 2 sets of Gearwrench ratcheting, both over 20 years old. only had 2 wrenches fail on me in all that time, first was 2 years ago 8mm teeth sheered in the ratchet, 2nd was my 14mm last fall and the spring for the reverse lever broke so lever would not keep in direction.

Best value in ratcheting combo wrenches right here... and yes, reversible is the way to go. I have 1 set reversible one set not...after getting them stuck in place tightening a fastener and spending more time trying to get my wrench back than finishing the repair on the car I'll never have the cheap non reversible again.

These used to be amazing. I don't know if they still are, but I've got a couple sets from a few years ago and they've taken abuse that they should not have been able to take. I've actually used them inappropriately to beat a nut loose with a hammer. And no slop detected. I wouldn't recommend doing this, but it is kind of amazing.

20pc set goes on sale for $40-50 pretty regularly at Sears. Not slick, IMO.

Those are neither reversible or flex. The ones that go on sale all the time are the cheapest crap gearwrench makes.
