This has the higher level x5-Z8300 processor, like the one in the earlier post that was sold through NewEgg. I got one of them last week and am typing this on it.

It was not indicated in that earlier listing, but the model I received was PDW0GU-05009, which is the Microsoft Signature edition. Importantly, that model has a 31.9 mWh battery, which at least in its current new state, looks like it will provide up to an 8 hour run time at a very comfortable screen intensity. The model being sold on Ebay is listed there as PDW06U-05005, with a 22.5 mWh battery. That is likely to give a run time no better 5.5 hours, which is quite short for a tablet such as this and, which, of course will diminish over time with repeated use.

The device is charged and powered via its microUSB port. Standard 5 volt phone chargers and external batteries work to fully power it, which is an advantage and a major reason I bought it, but a 22.5 mWh internal capacity is too low given that the high resolution IPS display seems to have higher power requirements than those in other similar 2 in 1s with lower grade displays. The display is very high quality. 1920x1080 produces uncomfortably small type sizes for many Windows applications, but the scaling and screen resolution options in 'Display Settings' work very well to adjust for that.

Although standard 5 volt chargers will power the device, they will not simultaneously recharge the battery while it is in use and recharging with the device off is relatively slow. The provided charger has a higher 9 volt charging mode, which will both power the device and recharge the battery while in use and and recharge faster when the device is off.

One more confusing thing about these devices merits clarification. There was apparently another model produced and sold abroad that had a second battery in the keyboard. My PDW0GU-05009 shows the same 31.9 mWh capacity with or without the keyboard attached.

Overall, this is a decent device if you like and need this form factor, but the PDW0GU-05009 model for $20.00 more was a much better value.

You just get so much more value with the Chinese tablets.

The Seller lists the weight as 2.4 lb (so does Amazon) for this tablet. Does anyone know if this weight is for the screen-only or with the keyboard? Thanks.

The Chinese tablets are better speced with the newer cherry trail and more ram but you do risk no warranty. Also keyboard is usually separate.

Bonus Chinese tablets come with android.

It's a toss up.

I need Windows for a few programs. Otherwise, I'd probably go Chinese.

But I don't know much about tablets nowadays. My Omni 10 just died.

Wrong description in this post; this toshiba has the new Cherry Trail Atom

The Chinese tablets have the same cpu and ram, typically smaller 32gb storage which is a legit problem since they are weird dual boot devices. 8" vs 10" and no keyboard. Of course, they are less than half the price $80 vs 200.

I might jump on this deal for the keyboard, form factor, and microusb charging. Don't have a single USB C cable or device yet.

I used to have the Asus Transformer with the 6475 Atom (i think?) and it was an incredible deal for the price. Gamestop sold tons of them for just 100 bucks (refurbished) and i was lucky enough to get one with minimal signs of use. So while the 1080p screen is nice, i cant see myself buying this for twice as much. Maybe i will look into the Chinese laptop/tablet that has a 12 inch 1440p screen. Don't remember the name...
