This includes the phone for $29.99, and requires a $20 topup. You will receive unlimited voice and text every single month 100% free instead of just 200 minutes and 500 texts.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

500MB of data every month included. Obviously not as good of a deal as the Kyocera Hydro deal at 2 GB per month. But the Moto E is a better phone overall I assume.

The Moto E is a better all-around phone, but the Hydro has the flash and NFC which the E lacks. Both are workable with above-average battery life.

When it says 'You will receive the Free Unlimited Talk, Text, & 500MB Data Bundle for a total of $0.00 each month', is it literally free for lifetime? What's the catch here? Am I missing something?

Also, can I buy this service and then use my own unlocked phone for the service or is it tied up with the specific moto-e phone somehow?

It says free text but it's not SMS, it uses a text app to text, like hangouts, so you'll be using that 500MB of data to text if you're not on wifi.

free for the company's lifetime and no it's tied to the moto e.

sms should be free if you use their app to send it.

It's a certified pre-owned B stock Moto E. I wish I could compare the service between this and ringplus before i make a decision.

They credit you for their app's data usage, so it shouldn't count towards your data allocation (although some have reported this process as inaccurate).

Free unlimited VOIP isn't all that great. The free 500 MB is nice, and can easily be 1 GB by adding a few FP friends.

Personally, I'd wait for another 2 GB deal, and/or a better device.

Are you sure it's VOIP or just free unlimited voice minutes with their service?

FP is VOIP, unless you also have their "premium voice" addon service which allows outgoing cell calls if you don't have a data connection.

That service is included in this deal as a one month trial, but is otherwise $4/month.

Thanks for clarifying that. Then I don't see this as a deal because there are free VOIP services elsewhere. You can't really take this outside and use it because you'll always need to be near a Wifi or Hotspot.
