No threadcrapping please. Last time it was posted for this price it was very popular. And was a Popular deal when posted in February for $240

Unlocked GSM phone. Will not work with Sprint or Verizon (or Ringplus)

Updating to Android 5.1.1 supposedly fixes the overheating problem these phones have been known to have

The bootloader on this has yet to be unlocked by the dev community.

Just heads up to anybody planning to buy this phone. Its an awesome phone but only after update to 5.1.1.

For that you need to be on ATT network. If you plan to use it on another network, you will have to activate a go phone sim card (it generally comes with that) and call go phone advanced technical support and bug them into pushing out the update.

Copying some of the information from previous threads

Anybody looking to update their phone by asking ATT to push the update should call 800-801-1101. This is the number for advanced technical support and the reps do know that updates can actually be pushed and are willing to help.

Otherwise its a huge pain to even get to advanced technical support.

All the info about the 2 updates with 5.1.1 can be obtained from here
https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/wireless/KB426907

You might require details of these while talking to the reps.

For a step by step guide refer to the following post over at XDA but use the number listed above, I had instant success with that

Same here on both points. And says the list price is $900, even though I'm pretty sure it was around $500, maybe even $400.

Question... I have this exact phone and it keeps randomly shutting down on me. The only way for me to turn it on is via connecting it to a usp charging cable. In additiom it will often shut down when it gets to hot (like when i use the gps for over half hour) .
Would i be able to get android 5.1 on my phone? Do i have to download it? Sorry if this is a really dumb question.

Thanks...

It's my understanding that 5.1 has been released for this phone. You need to download it. Go to Settings and look for Updates . Might be under About Device. Or call LG. It's best to do a factory reset (save everything like photos and music first) before doing a major update. Sounds like you should do a factory reset anyway to try to fix the random shutting down issue.
