this deal is no good if authorized dealers dont offer bundles like they did during the last 2 months.

The rebate form doesn't say, but I would imagine all the authorized dealers, and you'd be advised to stick to them anyway.

I think the opposite is true, which is why the bundled deals were listed as separate items when you added them to the cart. Had it been a single item bundle, it would not be eligible for the rebate.

As long as you purchase the items required for the rebate, you should be eligible.

Not every month, It had been paused for the 5D3 for a few weeks, hence the "back again" in the title. Not sure about other models.

....? That's not what he is saying. He's saying the deals for Canon right now and going forward are not going to be as good as those in the past 2 years.

What's better:
A 6D+Pro-100 "single item bundle" for $1449 (with $350 rebate) or
A 6D camera + Pro-100 for $1799 (with $350 rebate)?

Are those before rebate prices? If so, the 6D at $1099 after rebate sounds like the same after rebate price we've had prior to 1 May. And what else comes with the $1,799 deal other than charging you more?

Those are before rebate prices on the 6D. According to canonpricewatch, there were changes in the MAP (minimum advertised pricing) for their DSLR packages effective May 1st. As such, all the advertised prices are now considerably higher. I tried to purchase a 6d kit a few weeks ago, but Adorama and B&H were shut down for Passover, and neither website would accept the order. When they came back online, both sites reflected the new (higher) pricing. I've ordered a "single item bundle" from Adorama in the past, and the rebate went fine (and actually was impressively fast), so I can't speak to any subtle distinctions regarding the bundles.

Overall, it's a significant price increase on a camera released in 2012. I'm not shopping for the other bodies, so there may have been some improvements in the list somewhere.

You may want to look into a grey/import model then. It has gone as low as $999 before on Ebay.

I recognize that some of these dont seem that amazing right now, but doesnt it seem likely that authorized vendors will sweeten the pot by coupling these with sales/deals? Its always a gamble on the waiting game now, as it often is, or am I missing something?

Authorized retailers are bound by Canon to abide by the minimum advertised pricing (MAP). If Canon says you have to make the after rebate price (for printer deals) be equal to the non-printer bundle price at a minimum effective 1 May, I don't see how the good deals can come back. So in other words, if an authorized retailer wants to "sweeten the pot" as you say, they'd need permission from Canon to do so (which would go against Canon's revised MAP policy).
