Wish I had a nail gun, this may require more swearing than I initially signed up for.

oh snap, you're doing it with a hammer? hahahahahahahahahahahaha

I mean, good luck, buddy.

seriously, if you've got a lot of board to put down, you might want to swing by harbor freight for a compressor and a gun. A few years ago I put down around only 150 linear feet and there's no way I'd have had the patience without it.

And the sad thing is, even though I only used the hammer around 10 times, I still hit my fingers twice. I am indeed that uncoordinated.

Yeah wasn't that a nice few hours? I think it will be a few more days until we get decent weather again.

You are crazy. You should be able to find a tiny sub-$100 air compressor that comes with a nail gun, hose, etc.

Funny enough it was several days in when I nailed my hand with the rubber mallet full swing. Before I even felt the pain my first thought was "Wow, I can't believe it took me this long to hit myself."

That said I may be shopping for an air compressor and a nail gun this weekend. I have over 200' of this stuff to put in.

EDIT:
Just threw down $150 for a compressor/gun kit with all the fixins and some nails. Only thing I saw coming in at $100 looked like pure crap.

There have been a number of times that I wished I had a compressor so I guess I will have one now. So far this project has rounded out my tool collection rather nicely. Too bad I don't get to actually build anything that I want to build with them.

This kit with some nails. Didn't shop around much. I didn't have anything decent locally and Amazon can get it to me by Sunday.
