this is a great deal. i got it for $1300 around black friday. I love it but the biggest problem is that there is no bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones, even sony brand headphones. other than that, it's a great tv

You have to view from a desktop. The mobile app (Ebay) goes to the wrong listing.

I'm curious about the profit margin on this because of shipping against what a local retailer would realize if they just price matched.

The ks8000 is better, has hdr support. It is $700 more. I personally am torn.

This is the conversation going on in my head..
I got burnt by adopting 4k before HDCP 2.2 was properly supported. I don't want to get burnt by HDR. The ks8000 has HDR10, but won't support Dolby Vision HDR. So if DV wins out you'll have to replace it. Given that, wait until HDR is sorted (next year) or go the cheap route.

So, the Sony wins out in this case. But I have a 4k tv, (XBR55X800A 55") and I am looking for a 65".

I will probably wait...the choice is yours...

I had an extremely bad experience so far with mine. It came DOA with a large white vertical line down the middle. The replacement crapped out and was on a reboot loop after 2 weeks (I only used it on the weekends). Third one is going strong so far!

On a side note, low level customer service was pretty bad and had to bring in higher level customer service to get my second unit replaced brand new since it was still within 30 days thus still within DOA period. Each replacement left me without a tv for a week.

Did they make you pay for shipping them back? Never bought a TV on ebay/buydig and hesitant on anything if it comes to me as a dud.

Good point, thanks for the thorough comment. Was thinking the same thing. Definitely torn though, in the market for a 65, going to make a decision on one of the two tonight, not sure which one though.

Buydig had me contact Sony myself. They did white glove replacement for me so that was good. $0 cost to you. Buydig did offer free return shipping through fedex if I went that route, but I really liked the tv.
