how to install os on new hard drive Asus r510ca

ok, orig. hard drive went to crap but when i installed a new hard drive, i could not figure out how to install new os. there is no way to change boot options in the BIOS so i am confused. no legacy and no uefi options. PLEASE HELP me figure out how to install new os to new hard drive. thanks

you don't need that shit. it can default for uefi, got rid of legacy. just change boot from usb.

if old hdd only got bad sectors for system partition. connect it to other computer, format the C, clone whole drive to new hdd, included the recovery partition, so you can do factory restore. back up to images first if can't connect both drive at the same time.

if no other computer to connect, boot from usb, connect the new hdd from usb if have adapter.

try this silly tool, maybe easy for you, AOMEI Backupper, install inside windows, it can make bootable usb version, i tried win10 clone to new ssd, doesn't even need to boot to dos, live clone when browsing SD

or you can clone other computers system drive to new hdd, then install it to laptop, this may have blue screen or driver problem, won't hurt to try, new hdd anyway, format it if shit happens.
